Our latest mission is to provide people who have a neurological
condition with access to regular exercise. We have found that
some clients find it difficult to access regular exercise and the
benefits that it brings.
We have therefore set up a free short exercise programme for clients with a neurological condition.
These will start in January 2018 at St Aelreds Community centre in Tang Hall on a Tuesday afternoon.
The aim will be to run both a chair based class and a class for those who are mobile. The aim of these classes is to provide a social environment in which clients can increase their confidence to exercise, as well as their fitness and functional ability.
If there is demand these sessions will be continued but with a minimal charge to cover the hall hire.
Free Exercise Programme
The programme consists of 3 sessions of around 45 min duration. All Sessions will be run by a specialised neuro Physio.
The class will consist of a Warm up, exercise session and cool down
The Physiotherapist will guide you on the level and amount of exercise through out the class.
Classes will be either chair based or suitable for those who are able to mobilise.
Before commencing on the programme all participants must complete a referral form and consent form.
